yea man...i almost got a tear this morning watching the news on nbc when they had some of the families of lost ones in iraq reading letters they got from their sons, daughters..who sounded scared out of thier pants...saying they didnt know if they would ever see em again..then a week later a knock comes to the door with three marines..and they knew!!! :frown:
Bro my heart just dropped to my ankles!!!!! It was a good reminder of how good we have it back here, our freedoms, family, friends, river buddies, crews etc, etc....pets too!!
It really makes you see how pathetic we can become over stupid arguements at home, drama on line!!! etc, etc...we have nothing to cry about in comparisson!!...just my .02 :notam:

great thread, skipper!! I miss my grandfathers so much, both of whom were vets. They came from a generation of heroes, and that heroism is continuing today with my cousin serving now. Today is also my mom's birthday... a special day for our family!! ;) ;)
