My Father in law. B-17 pilot, 8th Army Air Core, shot down on the return trip of his 25th mission, inturned as a pow, escaped on foot and returned to England, flew combat in Korea, and Vietnam. Retired after 30 years in the Air Force, just celebrated his 83rd birthday.
