we use a co. called northwest they build almost all of the aftermarket alts that are out there. they build em custom for us, any output and any config we need,
hey mike if your gonna go 210 amps I would suggest going out board regulator

Evo, that sounds like it may get more complex....they say it is plug and play from the guys that are using them...how much is involved with the outboard regulator? Also, what can you get 160 or 200's for?

Call Ron at R&B in Parker. He's great guy with a great product I run one of his alternators and starters on my by boat and have only had a small problem with my starter a year after I bought it and he stood behind his work, also his prices are awsome. He'll be at long beach this weekend I think, his shop # is 928-669-6411 and his cell is 909-970-4685.

its no big deal to put an outboard reg. it plugs up to the alt. and you wire a ingnition wire and the battery lead to the reg. and you are done that way it leaves more room in the alt. for windings and to disipate all of the heat let me know if ya need one or whatever u need I can get whatever you want

If you are running dual batteries with a stereo system will 100amp alternator be sufficent? I heard that the RPMS need to run high to get good use out of a 200amp alternator ? Is it worth the extra money?

Is it worth the extra money? it depends on how much u are gonna drain them???how many amps does your system draw. you can get altenators to charge at different RPM's
depending on your apllications we have a couple SPL monsters that have dual 240 amp alternators and are putting out full power @ 1200 RPM's just depends on what ya need
