I'm looking to hang a new set of piston's in my 429 Cj, anyone have any suggestions on a good set of forged pistons. The block has been bored .60 over already and I want to keep the compression down so I can run pump gas.

I'm using Keith Blacks ,You can find silv-o-lites at summit racing ,they're good.Almost any forged piston is a good choice.BTW over 12 years still running good http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Hey Spectra
I looked at the summit catalog, but they have no piston's for a 429. Will 460 work, or are the skirts a diffrent length?

429,rods are the same lenght, however the 429 has the better rod [spot faced] than the 460,the difference is the stroke of the crankshaft, require a different wristpin location on the piston. The pistons are available for a 429,I can find the # later.Somebody might beat me to it on this forum

Summit has the Speed Pro/TRWs, #L2366F flat top, floating pin. 11.26 to 1 comp with 72 cc head. $295.60 Or you can call JE, They can make any compresson ratio and bore diameter you want.
