Can anyone recommend good paint for heads. I painted mine last summer and the paint is already flaking off.

I used Sherwin Williams base clear on my entire engine and headers about 3 years ago.
paint has held on very well I used an epoxy primer first and thats the key to paint staying on. there are some pictures of it at my webshots page.....Brian http://community.webshots.com/album/23945307dcwALgZbfw

The Duplicolor 1500 deg stuff has always worked for me. Just clean the metal really good and spray it on. After 2 years on my truck there's no flaking at all.

I also used Base coat/clear coat, but I used left over PPG trailer paint I had! The stuff wrks good, and everone asks how it matches the boat!!

I am borrowing them from a buddie till I finish my mail box scoop. Hes has had them in his office for 20+ years!
