I have a Mercury Mark 55H...I'm moving and don't want to move this motor that's taking up space in my garage. I'm not an outboard guy and don't claim to know much about this motor...but this is what I do know. I bought it in 1995 and had it rebuilt by a local (Napa, CA) repair shop. The serial # is 1195834 and per oldmercs.com it is a 1956-1959 Mark 55H. It has a pull start and an electric starter on it. It runs very well. It's painted black and looks good. My kids had it on a 13' 70's DeSilva retired "C" Hydro...the boat ended up rotting away. I would estimate it has about 80 hours on it since the rebuild. I have some extra parts and two 2-blade props that go with it. I want $400 for it. I may or may not be able to answer your questions about it, but I'll try. If interested, please PM me.
