the Nextel Cup Championship?
Will it be Kurt Bush, Jimmie Johnson or Jeff Gordon?
I have to go with Jimmie Johnson. I think he has momentum on his side and the drive to win his first championship. Afterall he was runner up last year.

I don't know Jack about Nascar, but why does it seem alot of folks that follow the sport hate Jeff Gordon...being an outsider and clueless about the I always see him as a pretty good representative of sport...specifically given that other highly popular sports don't have the greatest spokespeople...just asking, no need to flame...given it is just my perception and not knowing much or keeping up with the sport.
Maybe it is like MC or RC in motocross...people like to cheer against the person with the most trophy's..

Jr. does not have much of a chance. He's like 70 or 80 points back. I doubt Busch, Gordon, or Johnson are all going to have a really bad day, because that's what it would take for him to make up all those points. But hey anything's possible.

Well Jeffy is going to blow his engine
Jimmie is going to get into it with Biffle
Kurt is going a lap down
Mark Martin is going to the front all day long
Carl is going to block for the 6 car
Should I say more my money is on Mark Martin #6

If you follow NASCAR at all you know that each team in the cup points race tested heavily at Homestead, knowing this could be the track where it all comes down, practice and qualifying will be a very good indicator of whos got and whos not got it right. This should be avery interesting race, so many possibilities..... MVG

I have been a Mark Martin fan for many years. He is very intence when it comes to racing. He has been in the hunt almost his whole racing caree. I hope that Harvik breaks early so there will be no undue cautions. Mark is not out of it by any means, he has an ecelant car for the race and well my inside sorce says if everything goes right the race is in the bag. But with the politics of NASCAR and there watchfull eyes I expect Johnson to win. But the total wildcard is Caral Long, he will help Mark to the front and pass him for the win.

The guy who will win is whoever CASHCAR wants to win. I'm going to say it will be a three way tie. Johnson will win the title unofficially by 12 points over Busch, but he'll get penalized 12 points for saying "dammit" after the race. Gordon will be three points behind Busch but be rewarded an extra three points for mentioning his sponsor more than three times in a single sentence. Then they'll announce that the fans will vote to decided the winner and each vote will cost $9.99. It sounds ridiculous, but this is what the cup series has become. Many people don't know this, but the drivers are FORCED to talk to the media after the race if they finish in the top 5. If they refuse to, they get penalized. If they don't say exactly what CASHCAR wants, they get penalized. Can you say Dictatorship?
MB2, as far as Gordon goes, I think he wore out his welcome by winning too much. There's an old saying in racing that goes "Everybody loves a winner... Until they win too much." I just got tired of him being a wuss and a sell out until he got rid of that piece of trash Brooke. After that it was like he woke up and discovered he could act however he wanted because he was the man. His comments last year a couple times were priceless. After Darlington, he shocked me as well. He ripped his pit crew a new one for screwing him over and never mentioned Dupont, Hendrick or Pepsi once in the whole interview or said anyone did a great job. He was pissed! Now if he just got rid of that faggy paint job and uniform maybe more people would like him.

Gordon is disliked because he was the first "prettyboy" to race in NASCAR. Up until Gordon all the drivers were the old school cigar chompin' Southern hardcore real men. And when Gordon started crying, whining and blaming everyone else when he didn't win was icing on the cake, that gave more people a reason to dislike him.

That sucks that Martin had to go in because of low tire pressure. They just put tires on the car too. Expensive mistake. I am hoping that Martin wins, but as long as Gordon doesn't win, I am happy. I don't like Gordon because the first time that I ever saw him race, he got rubbed and started bitching that he was targeted, etc... Ever since then, I have always thought that he was a cry baby. Not quite as bad as Rusty or Tony, but still if a shoe fits...
