So, k mart and sears have merged to go after the giant Walmart. Didn't K mart just go through a BK? And sears has had falling sales #s for a while now. What do you think of this "move" by these retailers??

After Sears sold thier credit department to Citicorp, I've been looking for a good reason to dump my Sears stock. Got that today and made a bundle. Don't care anymore!!! Jill p.s. KMart has had a decent profit the last 4 quarters.

I think we live in an age of consolidation and mergers. With a bunch of Bla products. There will be many more and when someone eventually comes up with a great idea I hope they have the balls to see it thru. Take a look at Home Depot. They have a warehouse full of crap. If I need a water heater ignitor or a brass water fitting/reducer I have to go to Ace. Or call a $50 an hour plummer.

There's always has to be a #1 and a #2.

Isn't K-Mart owned by Texas Pacific Group? TPG bought Ducati a few years back and made them profitable.
Sears owned by TPG...hummmmmm...
