So, is anyone on these boards from Alabama or around the Bama area? Jets/Vdrives/Hydros are very hard to come by around here...Boats like ours are very hard to come by in the south, not as popular as out west. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/frown.gif
Would like to get all Boaters near my area together for a river run!
Thanks!!! http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif

Hey! Well me and hubby (Apollo on this board) are running an Apollo with a 454 bored 30 with a jacuzzi drive, right now it is in shop getting painted and the pump is soon to get an energizer kit recently purchased from the great Mr. Shoemaker! http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif
Yea, I have heard of Warhawk. Also, there is ProBoat in Ga. That is the only high perf boat places I know of.

Jettingirl, I live in New Orleans La. I have a 1977 Rogers 18 ft with Blown BBC with all the necessary hardware to put down a 97 mph pass. I would like to know how much the energizer kit cost. My berkely said uncle with all the power that I have. When my new 2002 crewcab daully arrives I would like to tavel to Bama. What lakes do you use?

Hey NOMERCY...
Apollo paid around 1600.00 for the kit. He asked Don from Don's Pump Service and he said there was no way the pump would ever be any better w/the kit....but Apollo wasnt satisfied...so he called around and finally got referred to Greg Shoemaker and tips from this board helped, so he went for the kit. What can it hurt..only money! http://free.***boat.net/ubb/smile.gif
We run on Lake Eufaula, and sometimes go to the Chattahoochee River.

Hey jettingirl/apollo
I'm not In Alabama, but I bought my boat in Montgomery last july. Maybe you have seen it around Al. before. There are some pics at http://www.liquidaddiction.net/Karaco.htm
I'd like to know a little about my boats history if anyone happens to know anything about it or its past owners.

No mercy,i think you said you have a berkley,a energizer kit is for a jacuzzi and it converts over to a berkley type pump, works very well,pro-boat does good work, good shop to take your boat too.i had a 18-0 advantage with a high comp ford in it,it ran 80 mph, this hull is similar to a rogers, good boat, good luck.

Thanks Hammerdown, we really enjoy the boat.I would have liked to put more motor in it, but it was ruff on the wallet doing the pump, motor, exhaust, wiring and purchase price of the boat all within a couple of months. A bigger motor is in the works, but I'm going to just enjoy for a while before I start tinkering with it again.
