Why do people love altezza tail lights?

Who else is with me?
They are ugly! The only car they belong on is the car that came with them STOCK "Toyota Altezza" in JAPAN! or the IS1300 as it is called here. It really looks stupid on domestic trucks, if I were to buy a truck and it had those tails on it, I would kindly ask for the stockers. SO if you have these tails, make sure you save your stockers.
It was an easy sign of a ricer when they had them on their civic, but now I see more and more tow vehicles with them.
Who likes them? who hates them? and please explain.

I drive an IS300, and I think they look cool! But like you said, they come stock on my car. Some people just like to rig sh it up... ;)

I have some clear/smoke tail lights on order for my truck. I don't know if they are "Altezza" but they are LED's, and they do look a hell of a lot better than the stockers IMO.
Don't buy them is my advice.

Those are similar to what I ordered, except all of the lighting mechanism on mine is LED dots.

Funny... considering the ones I ordered were at SEMA and haven't been produced yet. ;)
I can add it to the list of "first set in America" items on my truck for this year... just like everyone else.

How is that different than stock lights? I am willing to bet that the vast majority of people are driving around in their full size Chevy's with stock lights than with aftermarket tail lights. Talk about everyone having them.
Drive with your stock lights... be just like everyone else!
