Hi Bre,
Just got back to LHC from the river house. The camera I use is a Olympus c-5050 5 megapixel with a 512 MB flash card. When I noticed the lightning, I grabbed my camera, jumped on my WR450 dirtbike and headed out into the dark desert storm as fast as I could, and was lucky enough to capture some very cool images. I just had the camera sitting on my WR450's seat when I took this photo.

Weather service,(weather chanel) says DRY for the river area Thur.-Sat night/Sunday morn, then a slight chance of rain for Sunday. Great, trying to tune a boat through 3 days racing with constant changing weather front conditions..........MP

Just got back from a weekend in Vegas.
The Sahara is a few dollars poorer than when I got there. :D
Woke up to rain this morning, turned to snow about 10 miles south of Rail Road Pass. There was about 6" on the ground in Searchlight. Stopped at the Nugget for breakfast, but the power was out, so we went on into Bullhead instead.
Rain all the way home. Heard the Cajon Pass and I-15 was closed. Came into Parker in a downpour. Cold, about 43 right now, and down to about 40 tonight.
Unloaded the car (did my Christmas shopping, thanks again Sahara) and whipped up a fire in the fireplace. Supposed to be rain through tomorrow, and clear and cool for the rest of the week.
If you're coming to the River for Thanksgiving, bring your cold weather clothes.

yes I am very aware of that and have been ever since I got into lightning photography years ago. All the images people have of mine are low res and are not the high res original photo that I have. When I take these photos I set my camera for almost it's highest resolution setting and those ones I keep for myself

How much time-exposure are you using to capture the lightning? Good shots from the seat of your bike no less

Just got back in from LHC. Cold yesterday, rain and more cold today. Got a test run in and sound measurements before installing the mufflers but didn't get a chance to run it today to see how quiet it was cause of the rain.
Will post results and pics later.

Friday afternoon on the water was perfect! Saturday morning was a little cool and windy. Went upstream and floated down for a couple hours. Wind calmed down and Saturday turned into a nice day on the water after all. Came home before it got ugly.

it was really nice all day in Parker, even got in 40 miles of dirtbike riding in. That was a ton of fun. Then Sat night lightning started and rained very heavy for about 15 mintues.
