I work really close to SB and it is very ugly. Never been to Compton though so I can't compare the two. All I know is that I would not want to live either place.

my ex father in law worked in Compton at the Ralphs distribution center, during that time my "then" husband and I lived in San Berdo at $195.00/mo it's all we could afford. It was more unsafe to live in San Berdo then it was to walk the streets of compton. :2purples: :frown: I hated living there

And Fontana isn't getting better, at least where we live it's not so bad, but go over the bridge and north of Valley and it's a different world, huh Mrsdrmr.

you said it mr. I like living in the southridge area, anything outside of it is quite a different story. My girlfriend grew up here when I was young, and parts are getting better, there really never used to be a safe place in Fonanta, now as least I have brought my child into it to live. Our house value keeps risisng and they keep building newer/better houses all around me. Don't know too any drugheads that can afford a house in the upwards amnt of 3000,000-4000,000. dollars, so were doing okay

Tell me about it. My shop is on Valley Blvd. in Fontana. The houses to the north of us is the freakin ghetto!! I'm usually the last to leave at night and this time of year it's dark when I leave and I hate locking the place up after dark.

The funny thing about 6 years ago San Berdo County and Riverside County had the same median house prices. about $190,000. Now San Berdo is about $267,000 but Riverside is now $367,000. Alot has to to do with the cities inside those counties. I'm sure San Berdo city is bringing that County down and Temecula - Murrieta are bringing Riverside up the new 951:D.... IMHO....

Where do you think all the people in Compton moved to after the riots? Maybe San Berdoo? Everywhere has good and bad areas...Santa Ana and San Clemente gangs in OC. Pacoima/ San Fernando, etc, etc etc. Anywhere that allows multi family residences (apartments) That's why I'm glad to live here. I know that no condo or apts will spring up across the street. 1/2 acre lots only.

Didn't COMPTON recently disband their police Department and are now contracting with the LA COUNTY SHERIFF'S department??
I heard some stories about the Sheriff's Department. Some ass-kickin' MOFO's over there, no wonder the crime rate has started to go down..

Who would have ever thought a new home in Norco would cost $675,000. I'm still amazed at new homes in Mira Loma, built on old dairy land selling for a half million.

The Old dairy off of the 15 going north just before the 60 is gone and they already have the pads set up for the houses to go up, but the freakin Methane smell is still awful, i do not have a clue as to who would want to live there, surrounded by cow manure remains deep underground and the wherehousing and trucking frims in the area too. Sorry JBT just ranting.

Yeah i hear ya Jim, it's a scary drivedown Valley sometimes, but take a ride out to 5th street in San Berdoo, right where the Parole, Welfare, and other offices are and see the riff raff, and the BS that goes on, i just wonder what is done with the Professional Homeless in that area when the Route 66 tour comes rollin in?
And i always though you guys were on Slover near Citrus, i always thought you had something to do w the JB Hunt lot over there, silly me, now maybe i can take ya to lunch some afternoon, soooo many nice little places :angry2:
Love that Store where every friday around 3 they go in shop for 5 mins and then drink and party in the lot right in front of the PD and Sheriff's like it was nothing. Amazing, and that little "Country" Bar just before Cherry is a joke too, try being a white boy just wanting to shoot a game or two of pool in an all Latino "Vato run" place, always fun being the underdog. Ahhh the joys of Fontana.
It's great when everyone comes to town for the races too, the whole city throws these parties and events, and for the most part the people that attend these evenst don't even have a clue as to why they are tehere, it's just something the City put on so it must have something free for me attitude, prevails. Great deal for NASCAR and related series's.

All that dairy land in the Mira Loma area all the way over to Chino/Chino Hills will eventually be gone with new housing tracts being put in. All the area West of the 15 and south of the 60 where the new homes are going in will eventually be it's own city called Eastvale.

Have you seen how real estate prices have gone crazy in Burbank?... I'm in Glendale... and I saw a tiny... TINY... 1,000 sq ft house... on a tiny lot sell in one day for $435,000.... unbelievable... My brother just bought a 3,000 sq ft house... on a 1 and 1/3 acre lot.. all landscaped... Close to Houston.... 150,000 .. I'm still in shock at how prices have gone crazy in the last ten years.

It is possible if you spend your money wisely and don't have all kinds of debt. However since most people do then they are taking neg am and all kinds of other crazy loans and overextending themselves and will default in a couple of years and the housing prices will fall and I will come in and upgrade to a larger house for very cheap. :)
