We have been Looking at the Hotel Del Coronado for starters and was wondering if any of you have any other Suggestions for me . By the way we we will be having our 3 year annniversary there on Wed night and want to do it right. Any more help?

Go with Hotel Del Coronado if you can do it. There is also Loews Coronado just down the strip...they have a Sunday brunch that its the best in the Nation. Trust me. Loews has a newer facility and the best ass kissing staff around.

There is a really neat looking new place right on the Torrey Pines golf course in La Jolla, don't know the name, but it looks really nice. It's not on the beach. Someone hear might know the name.
I don't know of any beachfront places in La Jolla.

La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club is nice. Rooms aren't too bad. The Marine Room restaurant there has amazing views, especially at high tide! They have a pitch and putt golf course too.
The Empress hotel is downtown La Jolla, on Girard I think. The restaurant in there is old school New York Italian, its called the Manhattan. They come and sing to you at your table. The Frutti di Mari (seafood pasta) is the best! You can walk to the cove easily.
The Valencia is right there at the cove, but not on the beach. But just across the street from the ocean front park where I popped the question 15 years ago.....very romantic. Again great food, remodeled old school charm. Its on Prospect. There are a couple others on Prospect as well that are nice, but small. Walking La Jolla and Prospect is way better than Coronado.
There's a couple beachfront places in Pacific Beach also, but the beaches are less.......uh...exclusive. ;)
I don't think you 'd have any trouble getting a room this time of year.... Its cloudy and cold today, but was really nice the past few days.
This is a good local site: http://www.signonsandiego.com/ and their visitors guide: http://www.signonsandiego.com/visitorsguide/

I threw up in that Hotel when I was 16, we had just moved to So Cal, to much junk food and the first time I had ever tried Lobster, I guess the two didn't mix.
For a small intimate little motel right across from the Childrens Pool in La Jolla try the Shell Beach Motel, the have 1 and 2 bedroom models, not the nicest but very romantic...
