Anyone have any knowledge or experience with the Mercury Smartcraft guages and DTS throttle system?? Pros or Cons. Maybe looking at installing them on the new boat.

Check with Boatfloating (Rocky). He has them on his new boat, and had them on his old boat.

Go to Livorsi (http://www.livorsi.com/) for some more information and also go to Smartcraft web site (http://www.mercurymarine.com/smartcraft).

Have two of them on my boat. If you don't care putting a lot of gauges with nice bezels on your dash  .all you need is one smartcraft gauge :D . You can download the complete manual from the internet. http://www3.telus.net/spectrasonly/mirage%20dash.bmp

Rocky,
Do the guages on the right side there in your picture do the same thing as the ones on your dash?

Yes, rpm, speed, water press, water temp, oil press (if I needed that since I have wacka's).
What I do is monitor water temp on the screens on the right. On the screens on the Tachs I monitor trim and water pressure split display for each motor. The screen on the speedo I can motor rpm sync or trim sync. This way I can make sure both motors are synced with each other. Really cool stuff.
