I don't know much about v-drives, so, does it have full length stringers? A friend told me these were pretty heavy and might make a pretty decent riding lake boat. True/False. What length is it? Thanks

It has full lenght srtingers.
Its a heavy boat and these old flats ride good.

Yes and Yes as already answered. They are built strong and can handle some decent chop compared to other flatties.

400 block with 455 heads.
The engine was rebuilt a few years ago and was just fired up a couple of weeks ago.
It`s either a Halibrand or a Throbreed v-drive that is in it and also have a spare top loader casale v-drive that is in pieces that goes with the boat.
I just picked up this boat a month or so back and I`m still waiting for the paperwork to get to me.
The former owner said he has the paperwork somewhere and just needs to find it.

I think he has moved on passed the ruff riding flatties. I think you need to pick it up and put it next to the Hallet :D
