I was Very thankful this year. My new Domn8tor was a huge step up for my family, and it runs great.

Congrats on the new boat. What did you do for power.....???

496 Mag HO with the Bravo X. I took it easy with the new motor, but the boat runs very strong and handles well. My main interest was safety and function for my family with reasonable power. I am happy for now with the power, and have a good place to start if I want more later.

I'm curious what top speed are you seeing with that 496 package?

Let me venture a guess. 68-69 cool weather, 65 summer. Well Nyeti, am I close? I am running a similar set up, and that's what I get.

I didn't open it all the way up, but those with twin set ups in this boat are pulling just over 65mph. The big plus to Domn8ter is the are very heavy and handle well; however, this also affects the top end. I was stunned at how well this thing handled rough and windy conditions. The most important thing is that my wife is VERY happy at how it rides.

Nyeti,
The reason I asked top speed is I went over and looked at the bottom in the early design stages with Dory, That bottom has got to be extremely efficient to move that heavy rig to the speeds your seeing with only the 496! And what comes with a little more weight is a smoother solid ride, Congrats bro, Good Choice
