I just got an Akita puppy and I'm looking for unusual, "strong" type names. Any ideas?
This is my 2nd Akita, the 1st, Nicky, is no longer of this earth. :frown:
For those not familiar with the breed they are from Japan and were bred to hunt bears. They get to 120-130 pounds. Helen Keller is credited of being the first person in the U.S. to have one.

She's such a pain in the ass but we love her. She has more personality than most people I know. She's a little over two, so i've got some time left before she settels down. When we get a bigger house i'd like to get her a friend. Mabey a Red bone coonhound or a black and tan coonhound. I have a feeling that she'll be a great dog when she get's past this puppie stage.

I have a Tri-Breed Hunter her name is Sable.
The tri-breed hunters are Chocolate lab, German Shprthair and Springer Spanial. There where bread to be high endurance hunt anything small hunting dogs. She is a redish brown 45lb 12year old dog.
I also have this dog by the name of Taurus.
He is a cluster F, His father was Wolf and Chow, His mother was German Sherpard and Terrier. When he was born his ears went strieght out from his head and the tips turned up, like horns of a bull. He is all black with a v of white on his chest. He is very protective 10 year old.

I was given a weimremer (sp?) by a gf once. The dog was pregnant and had 12 puppies :jawdrop: I did not know she was pregnant and the gf and I had broken up shortly afterward. A lot of work but the pups were incredible. I sold all of them for $275 each without papers. Unbelievable pets but very, very high energy.

mine is a wonderfull dog, it just took forever and a day to get her that way, they have so much personality that they are like people.
she take great care of my wife (they are very attached) and is s great watchdog when i travel, she also travels well and does not get car sick (like my old lab)
