Any idea if they make a tank for Gas engines?

That's a pretty cool deal. On one hand I'd had to see the bill at the pump filling it up, but at the same time it would cut down on the stops.
Kind of proud of them though. :supp:

I can get just under 1500 miles a tank now, I think as long as your truck is an HD it will work, just call niel

Wow 1500 miles I can go round trip to Havasu and back without stoping the poor people that ride with me wont like it but hell who cares :D When I was at the Sema show there was a compnay that had the same thing I wonder if it is the same company Im still waiting for the reading material on it. If you dont mind me asking what did that thing cost installed??

I can go three round trips..... They say 3-4 hours, at 65-75 hr rate..... but I love it and niel can drop ship it to you. I was at SEMA and it is not the same company, they wanted $1100 for the tank and this place was $850, So like I said just really happy, and when I find cheap fuel I can take advantage of it

id like to have one! As you said, just for the unexpected cheap fuel. It would pay for itself quickly when you factor in getting fuel for .20 less a gallon out of state. thats 12.00 per tank you would save.

wow... your really good at math  I want to go to the lake

It takes alot of those $12 to equal the $900 cost though.
Not having to stop for fuel as often would be sweet. However, it's not bad now. I can go to Glamis and back without stopping. Can get to San Diego on a little better than 1/2 a tank. Can't complain about that. :)

How does a full tank of diesel like that effect the truck or is there not much difference?

UnionJack

no difference

What was your price on that tank, if you don't mind me asking? Maybe we can put together a group buy or something. Tobtek, are you in?

Must be nice.. I have a 2500 HD 4x4 with the 8.1L and I can go about 150 miles while towing before running out of gas.. I have to stop for gas twice just to make it to Havasu... :2purples: The bigger tank is tempting, but pricey..
I might be interested in a group buy depending on the deal

I'm interested too. S/C is a little thirsty when towing. But I haven't found a CA legal tank for the Gasoline engines. Any ideas?

I'll work on it, anyone else interested? Maybe we can get Wes on the program. We will also have to upgrade the filler necks in the trucks to large diameter.

The tank comes with a rapid fill, so far I have 300 miles on the tank and it is still on full, just call niel and he will take care of you

I hope this isn't a stupid question: Are the gauges or the readings effected by the amount of fuel? Or is half a tank, a half a tank! What does your range reading say on a full tank? Is that the 1500?

If the price is right, I might do it also. There arn't many stations around here that carry diesel. I could probably go 2 or 3 months on a tank of gas.

The range reading will be off, however the fuel tank level will not be from what I understand. Let me know if you are interested in one of these, I am thinking of cantacting the manufacturer and trying to get a group buy price on them. Also, there is no stupid questions, only stupid people ;)
On another note, what's your plan for New YEar?

Lightning

I talked to Neil and here's the deal.
Pricing is $725 per tank + shipping.
Approximate shipping costs are .... Shortbed tanks cost $90 to ship and Longbed tanks cost $120.
Install takes about 4 hours depending on the application. Chevy take more time then Fords according to him. Also, on the Chevy's - it does require removal of the fuel cooling system, cuting fuel lines, redoing the filer neck, adding a new breather, cutting off some parts of the muffler heat shield, etc...
He said that if you want him to install them, it will cost about $1000 for everything and should take about 3 or 4 hours to complete.

$150 for the install seems like a great deal. I may be interested, will depend on when.
No real New Years plans yet, give me a call.

if we get an order for a bunch at one time, can we get a better deal? Id like to have one....just not at $1000.00 dollars.

I just finished reading the install procedure.......... not too bad to do at home.
I wouldn't torch-cut that bracket though....... sawsall, or die grinder/cut off
disc........
--nice upgrade.

Next week when I visit the GM dealer I will find out if with a Tech 2 (Factory GM scan Tool) you can change the parameters for range reading, for the bigger tank.
