I am considering it, but how does it ride in a little chop? I spend a lot of time up at Powell and Roosevelt and the chop is no fun in the old CVX-20 if you know what I mean.
BTW - Smokey didn't feel any pain when he was alive and sure ain' now!

Sorry, different Smokey. I know you're hung up on Yunick, but that's the wrong one for the signature.

It really doesn't ride all that bad in Chop. This is the first Daycruiser V-Drive I have owned, and I have not riddin in a Deeper Hull boat like a Schiada, so I really dont have much to compare to. My boat before this was a Daycruiser Jet, and there is no comparion there at all.
I have learned by the experience from these boards. Someone might have som better insight,Like SpectraBrent.12 Deg Vs 15Deg.
The only reason i bought my Schiada, is because I got a smokin deal on it, and I wanted to build a Faster Boat. Well Plus the SCHIADA NAME of Course! Take Care...If you want a ride...Come up to Vegas and we can take it out on Mead....John

AMC, I have/had 3 spectras and they all handle great in the chop with trim. If corleone's conti has cav plates you're ok .If not , install tabs and done with it. I've run my 21 [ 20.10] jet in the ocean many times between vancouver and vanc island [ 26 miles] no problem. The 21 has 12 degree , the 19 footer has 15 and my 24.6 has a 16 degree deadrise.I got a place diverter on the 19 and it handles skaha lake chop no problem .The 24 doesn't need any trim cause it's a big boat [and a V-drive  ]. Matter of fact it takes on big water without shudder as good as my 257 Mirage with 24 degree deadrise :) .The only prob with the daycruisers is the low profiles and lots of spray coming over while in the blue  . If money is an issue , get the conti or the 24 spectra in the boattrader. My fave would be the 24 schiada for my cruising grounds. My buddy has a 33 Donzi and it takes water overhead occasionally ,so size doesn't matter always ;) :D
