To bad he'll never get enough traction to see what the 600hp is capable of doing.

no mention of the word torque. some times hp ratings can be misleading.

I agree. In AWD that thing would be a monster.

You get the traction pretty easy since it's all wheel drive! Car and Driver called this car the fastest lunch box on the planet. Stock its a twin turbo 6 cylinder, all wheel drive with 6 speed manuel. It's basically an Audi S4. Recarro seats, racing brakes, the car is sick!
I dont know if its possible to disingage (sp) the rear wheels for a Dyno run but if it is a real R32 its all wheel drive

If you install a welded center diff you can disengage the rear wheels by simply dropping the drive shaft. Nowadays though there are plenty of AWD dynos so I dont see why anyone would do that.

I thought the R32 was AWD too. I just figured the car in the video was a suped up race car with all the stickers.

Reading the EIP site and then reading about the R32 I come to the conclusion that the car is in fact an R32. The R32 comes standard with a 240HP N/A VR6 motor. Obviously EIP turbo'd it. The R32 is AWD so they must have changed the center diff to allow them to disconnect the drive shaft and run the car in FWD only. Being that that car is AWD that is going to be one hell of a fun ride. F*cker probably goes sideways when you mash the gas pedal.

These things are so cool and rediculous fast, I'm thinking of buying one but still having trouble stomaching 30K for a Volkswagon.

Here's a question from a mechanical tard. Will the car still show 600hp if AWD is engaged??

Nope. Your going to probably lose about 5-10% of that power to the transfer case and rear diff. So realistically that cars going to put down around 570hp to the ground. Still a lot of hp for that tiny thing. I bet they have to rebuild the tranny in that sucker alot.

Just stick one of those WRC trannyes in it. Isn't Scoda (sp?) the a division of VW?
