Whats the most HP any of you guys have put to this block?
how long did it last?

Not sure the right answer to your question but i know that the first engine built for Trident boats was on a Gen VI block. I think it Dyno'd in the 800 hp range. I may be wrong though.

Approx. 2000 HP, blown alcohol deal, was built 4 years ago and still together.

Gen5 &6 Blocks will take all the hp you can produce but b careful when building one. The oiling system is different than gen4. If you hot tank the block you need to remove the bypass valves first then after all cleaning, install new ones [2]. Ifthe bypasses are left out you will have a massive internal oil leak and the crank and rods will die quickly. Budlight

Where are these bypass valves?
the bypass valves are located in the oil filter pad, one in the center and one off to the side. When I researched them orginally, nobody knew anything about them. Not Paul Phaff, not Pat Dooley, Not Dan Olsen! Iwas shocked to find motors being performance built without through knowledge of the oiling system. Budlight
