Hey you are my neighbor, we could push it to your house. Being from Temecula I am sure you have seen it run.

Don't let Squeezing Spectra see it, its not really his style but I know he got rid of his golf cart awhile back. Is the bed of that thing sturdy enough to carry, say a keg of beer and ice? :crossx:
If it had a tow hitch that could be the launch and recovery vehicle for team short bus

Is that a 302 GMC engine? If it is, the engine ID number will start with 302XXX and so on. I'm refering to the stamped in number not the cast, it's just a quick way of telling which block you have. Maybe it ends in the block size, either way the cubic inch is included in the stamped number some where. Can you post either number ? Or both? :)
If it's a 302, I'll bump the bid to 20 bucks. Although if I remember right 302's came out in '53 or '54. 1949 should be a 228ci.

Got your PM.
That might not be the original engine, but it's no 302 either. Bummer. Like I pm'd you, it's just a 228, going by the cast in numbers. I don't believe there's any way to make a 302 out of a 228, there may be but I doubt it.
I found a link that gives the break down for the numbers...
