Great Pics BajaMike! I'll be heading up there again in January.... Does anyone know a fairly inexpensive place to rent. There will only be two of us. We usually just stay at the Mammoth Mountain Inn. Any help would be appreciated!

I have stayed at the Mammoth Mt. Inn many times and it is great, right across the parking lot from the main lodge and the gondolla, but it is never inexpensive.
This time I stayed at the Holiday Inn on Main Street for $99. per night (I got that rate through my buddy, Jeromy, bartender at Henessey's in the Village at Mammoth). That is the "government rate" that you can get if you have any type of government ID (which i don't) like police, fire, or government employee. The Holiday Inn is nice, has a indoor pool and spa, beer & wine bar and nice rooms.
As you probably know, Mammoth is packed on weekends, with all the southern cal skiers/boarders. If you can go on the weekdays, it is so nice, no lift lines, no crowds on the slopes, but also less wild nightlife.
Check out the Holiday Inn, and stop by Henessey's (in the Village, at the base of the Canyon Lodge gondolla) and tell Jeromy or Adam you are friends of Mike from Dana Point....you might get a free round of drinks!
:rollside:
Have fun!

We usually rent a condo over near Little Eagle. Not quite ski in, ski out, but only a short walk of 1/2 a block. It runs $170 a night, but has a kitchen and fireplace. I believe the managment company is called 101 Great Escapes.
We are going for the last week of January. Lots of snow!!!
