I would like to buy a digital camera with a docking staion and printer that will let me take the pictures and email them to my friends and family, but also to be able to print them out for keepsake photos and memories of my kids childhood.
Anyone have any good deals or know of any good ones they would reccommend?
Thanks in advance,
Paul

I have a Dell printer computer etc. The printer is actually a Emerson with Dells name on it. It's a printer fax machine. It prints excellent. Picture perfect.
You can check them out @ www.dell.com. Even if you don't buy from them it's a good place to look.

Don't by the cheepo printer. I did that and had to upgrade and send it back.
Get a good one or you won't be happy with it.

HP has a very good and easy setup between camera, docking station.
Their printer quality is one of the best. Can't go wrong wth an HP.

depends on how much you want to spend!I had an hp 2.1 but like all other small cameras i couldnt stand the slow shutter. press the button couple seconds later it takes the pic and miss the good pic(if action or small kids).I just bought a canon digital rebel slr type 6.3 pixel so far this thing kicks ass can take continuous shots in sequence.they cost about 900.00
I just didnt want to buy another camera and be unhappy wanting another one in the long run i think i will save.My uncle had the 10d and it is basically the same thing except the 10d has a magnesium body the rebel a plastic.Plus i can interchange lenses for different occasions

I have had Olympus cameras and like them. I had one for almost 5 years before it took the plunge into the lake. So now my advice to you would be buy a camera that will have a much Optical zoom as possible 3x,4x, 6x,and with as much megapixel 4meg. 5 meg or more. Now try not to spend more than a couple of hundred because like any other computer or digital products , what you buy today will be out of date tomorrow. Most of the new digital camera now have the ablity to record short movies with sound . I have one that records short movies without sound. Now that you have all of the above to consider don't forget about the media memory cards and the cost to get enough memory to relly make the camera work. Now on the final note I use to print my pics at home, but with as many outlets that you acn take your media catds to now It is cheaper to let someone else print the pics. I use Walmart and found the the pics that I want to print really come out good. You can always store all your pics in the computer or burn them to a cd. I know that with all this great advice you are probably just as confused before you asked for some advice. Good luck on your choice of cameras. TTUL Bill"cookieman"

I have the HP R707. GREAT camera. 5.1 MP, 24x zoom, in camera red eye removal ( the only camera with this) small docking station, hooks up to the TV for slide shows, etc. I am very happy with it. Jill

Battery life has never been a problem. 3 days at the river, didn't have the docking station, never even got low. Took maybe 40 pics or so. the docking station is as small as the camera, so not a problem to take with. Jill

I have Minolta dimage 4.0 mp. takes aa batteries and is about the size of a mans wallet.
Nikon coolpix 3500 3.5mp... good picture awkward style to use though.
Nikon cool 5400 5.0mp nice camera with great picture. Can use manual or auto functions... o.k. battery life
Nikon D100 8.0 mp great professional use camera, little pricey at $1300 plus lens.
If you have any question about any of the current cameras on the market, PM me and I can put you in touch with the owner of a company that specializes in the sale of imaging equipment. I'm not sure if he sells to the public, but I know he has the answers on all the hot buys out there.

If you want GREAT zoom and GOOD pics. Kodak DX6490 it also takes good video too. I would show you a high quality pic I have taken, but it would ruin the thread since it would take some people 10 minutes to view it and would require a large monitor. I paid $500 for it new, I think they are $399 now.
