Bored again. I put a 300 Merc on an 18ft Liberator

I did'nt have anything to do at work yesterday, so I was thinkin. There sat one of my new 18ft Liberator cats with a bad 2.5 Merc on it. In the next bay was a Mariner 300 Promax hangin on the hoist. I had an idea. We have our annual Florida Toys for Tots boat run this weekend. Why not show up with something different. Here's what I came up with.

I took it out today. Runs like a bastard. No porpoise and can run 100mph with no hands on the wheel. Only problem was 1.75 gears with a 32" cleaver at a 6400rpm rev limit, means only 103mph. Gets there quick though.
