unless they get crazy this year with pricing it shouldn't be too much more than the sticker on yours. an 04 Z06 is only in the 50's I believe.

I could see it pushing into the 70's if you went totally nuts with it. Still not bad for a car that will spank a $250,000 ferrari. Don't you get a better deal than that though if you call Photoglou

When I ordered mine, I wanted the stripped 44k one. Jay told me it doesnt exist. Of course I trust jay, but I checked for myself. I could not find a dealer within 300miles that had one. Every dealer orders them almost loaded or loaded. Mine was loaded, nothing left out. 53K. Jay did not charge me a a sellers fee, but dealers are doing this. I met a guy just the other day who paid an extra 3K to buy the car.
Now as a rule of thumb the ZO6 is a hair more than the Convertible. So the convert is 54K and load it up it is 64K add tax lic and of course this car is hot and they are gonna charge you a sellers fee of who knows what. It can approach 80K.

It is always funny to negotiate a price above sticker for a car but if it is what you really want you gotta do what you gotta do.

MagicMtnDan

Kilr, I hope Jay treated you well.
Vettes like yours are now going for as much as $2500 BELOW MSRP. Certainly not from all dealers but those prices can be had.

Jay was good to me, I went to 6 dealers and not one of them had a vette on the lot and had no idea how long it would be before they would get one, they all said I can put you on a list. The one dealer that had one said it was sold, the guy was picking it up later. I only bought the car 2 weeks ago. if they are already below price God bless them....

Let's keep this thread rolling :lightsabe
Subaru is a Subaru is a Subaru. Get inside a Subaru and it's still a Subaru. Walk away from a Subaru and you don't turn around (unless you hear a crash :D ).
And I'm sure that Subaru won't keep up with the Z06's 500 HP.
As for you Viperettes, sure, you got HPs and torque and yes, you can blow it and turbo it and yes, it will scream down the street. And sure you can look at most everything in your rearview mirror ON A STRAIGHTAWAY. But I'll bet you and your silly snake can't keep up around the track. And the Viper sucks as a daily driver (well, you can roast marshmallows on the side pipes :) ).
Viper's a great car, not many of them around (and not many are selling - $80,000 DODGEs just ain't THAT interesting). But your time is up when the Z06 shows up. It's an all-around much better car. And it ain't a Dodge and it won't cost $80,000. :boxingguy

MMD, the corvette is a sweet car  .Problem with its towing cap that's rated for 2000lbs max .I know most of us have a real tow vehicle, but would be nice being able to hook up a nice HR boat behind a cool car. When I towed my 20' boat with my vette ,it could hardly pull it uphill with the L82. Anyway , I'm looking forward to the new Cherokee with the 5.7 Hemi 420HP  :)

As far as that subaru WRX STI goes, Well as I was behind it today and he tried to keep it that way, but I could only see his front end.
As Jordy pointed out there is no replacement, the subaru just doesnt have a top end..... I just had to find out.

I am still impress with the car. The numbers come close to a Z06 with half the engine and a lot less HP.
0-60 .. 4.8
.25 Mile...13.2@104
and it can be raced offroad

Dont get me wrong that car is very fast and will beat alot of cars
but
0-60 at 4.8
is a big gap between
0-60 at 4.1
and 13.2 at 104
to an even bigger gap at
12.6 at 114.
on paper it doesnt look that big, but when they are side by side that is huge, as I learned yesterday.
Again on the top end, the big cubic in displacement comes into play and the distance becomes even bigger.

I don't think that boat is hooked up to that Viper. It is kinda fun to pull a boat with a hot rod. I have a 68 Camaro with a custom hidden receiver hitch I can pull my Jet to the lake with. It is an awesome hill climber and an impressive burnout machine too. Big problem is at the ramp. If the ramp is too steep or too flat, problems can arise (low freeboard car applies here) plus it is hard to see behind you at all times. Much better to take the Yukon. Have not pulled the boat that way since being able to avoid it.

You hit up a kid with a WRX. Hit up an adult (same age as yourself) and you will find yourself crying and embarrassed after 500-600 h.p. wacks your d*ck.

After the guy revs his engine, burns rubber past me as I am getting in my car and then as I cruise down the on ramp of the freeway he pulls up and revs his engine and punches it(BECAUSE A CAR IS INFRONT OF ME).
Well I pull along side and all we have is wide open 118 fwy and the bitch changes lanes and slows to 50. Now Im not saying I was trying or encouraging a race
OK FORMULA DUDE, try re-reading what I wrote, I was minding my own business on two seperate occasions, when this clown in his mid 20's in this really stupid looking car made an ass out of himself....
So when you are ready come on down and I will let my wife take you out..... :p
