Our 'oddest' ones are Sugar gliders. (Shhh, keep it quiet, marsupials are not legal to own in CA.) Also have Pygmy goat, pot bellied pig, horses, burro, McCaws, minature horse, ducks, chickens, etc. Odd, I guess, but not for Norco. A guy up the block owns Matilda, a camel. There's a buffalo a few blocks away.

When we first picked up the gliders, they were in a covered cage, and the noise coming from that cage was unbelievable. I really thought it was something mechanical and my friend was playing a joke on me! They also bark, sounds just like a puppy. It's fun to put them somewhere high and watch them 'fly'. Jill

He is a very nice YOUNG boa. About 5' he can get up to 12' long but will most likely only reach 10' or so. Very docile loves to be held!! I bet Don and the Sugar gliders would be close friends. :jawdrop:

SUgar Gliders?? I've never heard of or seen one of those. I can't tell from the pics....how big (or small) are they? They "fly"? Illegal like ferrets? What's up with stuff like that being illegal anyway?
Cool lookin pets.

They are actually very small, fit in the palm of your hand. Really long tail, 8 inches or so. Male is about 3 1/2-4 inches, female a little smaller Webbing btwn front and back legs, which helps them glide. They are marsupials, carry young in pouch and their diet is a bit tricky. So, they are not like having a mouse or hamster. Here's a link if you are interested. Jill http://www.skinhorse.net/gliders/

I bet he would see Manny, Moe and Jack as a nice snack! You got him young, so he will probably always be a great pet. Jill

Actually I just got him from a friend who gave him to me. He was hand raised since he was captive born. When I try to put him in his cage he tries his best to hold on to my arm.....We have bonded already.

I have a Truetemper Spade. It is a very good and quiet pet. It mainly stands in the corner. Its main diet is any snake in the yard. It is easy to clean up with I mean for.
I slept with a 14' Python in Panama not by my choosing and have had a thing against thoughs things ever sence.
Jill,
Those are so cute I would sure like to see one in person sometime. I bet they have a very good life with you.

ROTFLMAO!!!!!! Tom Brown!!
I love this snake!! He is so nice. But he has not eaten in over a month  I have had several snakes but all of mine have eaten at least twice a month.. I also have 4 cats and 2 dogs some fish. And one rat (dinner for Don) I am a sucker for stray animals!! I guess it is not that bad at least if we ever get trapped in the house we will not starve.......j/k :supp: :D

Cats will sit by the gopher holes till they come out. Yhe only thing you have to deal with is half eaten gophers. :jawdrop:

Thanks sweetie I was a little worried about that!! He has a slight haze to him. But his eyes are not glazed over yet. I gave him a warm water bath/soak to help it along. He likes the warm water.

He likes the warm water.I was worried too about mine. He will probablly shed in the next week. Do you have the food in with him? If he doesn't eat it within 10 minutes, take it away and try later. He'll eat when he's ready. Just remember it's winter and when they are cold, they eat less.

That's a bearded dragon I believe...we had one for 8 years and he looked just like that. Kinda a big horney toad and loved the crickets.
We have 3 dogs(Rott, Shar-Pei, Bull Terrier) and 4 rats, one being a hairless rat.
