Car loaded with illegals hits Border Patrol agent

TUCSON, Ariz. An agent with the U-S Border Patrol was injured after he was struck by a car.
The agent stopped a 1995 Nissan just southwest of Tucson around 1 p-m yesterday.
Agency spokesman Juan Bernar says the car then suddenly pulled out and struck the agent.
Other agents found the car shortly after.
When the car headed toward another agent, one or more agents fired at it. The car then went off the road and stopped in a wash.
The occupants of the car were not injured. They were taken into custody.
The driver and one passenger are U-S citizens. Five passengers are illegal immigrants and will be deported.
The agent who was struck was taken to a hospital. He had non-life-threatening injuries.

They have one of the most dangerous jobs in the US. And they don't get the financial and governmental support they need to do their job effectively.
Until our government steps up to the plate and does what's necessary (build a fockin fence to secure our border and fund/support the Border Patrol), they'll be out there all alone :mad:

My cousing is a Border patrol agint in SoCal and told me there are only around 11K officers total. Then said about 50% of those are either administration or just dont do their jobs. I think Border Patrol should recruit like the military. I brought this up to him and he didn't think it was a good idea because that many people could never pass the background checks involved. I argued the point that they shouldnt have to, if its set up like the military then the squeeky clean college grad type sare in the officer positions as patrol or squad type leaders and the "grunts" or the enlistees are the patrols or border squads. Its an easy way to obtain the necessary personel required to do a job that is vital to national security not to mention save the American taxpayer millions in illegal immigration costs. My .02
