[Mrs Scuba]

the Scuba family arrived yesterday. She is 9 1/2 weeks old and looks like her pops (j/k). Anyway, her name is Jayda "Scuba" Cervantes and just by looking at her you can see why we couldn't wait until Christmas to give her to our daughter. She is a full Shar-Pei. She's furry , yeah right she's full Shar-Pei? Well, she is considered a Bear-Coat Shar-Pei. Isn't she the cutest thing you have ever seen? I don't know how she has done it so young but she has already designated a pee area...............our kitchen rug :hammerhea , but she only poops outside :wink: . You will all get to meet her next year on one of our lake trips.

That is a beautiful "brush coat" pup from the looks of the pic's, and will make an excellent family dog. I know, I'm on my second one. For the last 20 years there has been a Shar-Pei in our family.
The Chinese Shar-Pei is regal, alert, intelligent, and dignified. He may appear independent, snobbish, and standoffish with strangers. But is extremely devoted to his family.
The Chinese Shar-Pei has been described as "people dogs," preferring the companionship of humans to that of other dogs.
Congrats on you're puppy....
Here is ours....he wouldn't sit, he wouldn't beg, he wouldn't heel....he was a bad dog! How could this happen to such a loveable puppy???

Cool looking dog. Must be the swollen nose that makes the dog look like dad for the time being. :D Shar-pei's are cool Mine is a great dog although she has a mind of her own and many battel scars from barbed wire, getting shot, fights etc... She is about 12 now.

Cool dogs guys! One of the reasons why we chose a shar pei is because we wanted a low energy but happy dog. So far our puppy is all of that. We didnt want a overly hyper dog that would be jumping all over the place. She is so funny, she already knows where the treats are, and if we are walking in that direction, guess who follows and sits waiting for her treat. :rollside: :cool:
