Blower Differences????

Are there any guidlines that say how much power it takes to turn a 6-71 vs. 8-71 vs. 10-71 and so on? I know there are probably a lot of variables but was just wondering if there were any rough guidlines.
Also, what are the differences in the different brand of roots style blowers,ie. Littlefield, Mooneyham, BDS, kobelco, Weind, B&M as far as quality and application. I have noticed that Littlefield makes "marine" blowers, but the literature doesn't say what makes them different, or "marine".

Couple of sites to check that have some info on superchargers. Also do a search for info. A lot of variables go in to trying to figure out how much HP a roots takes to drive. Biggest issue is how much boost you are going to run and size of the blower. $$$$ is the next part of the equation.
Setup of blower is biggest difference as for a marine blower. Motor set up if let it be known what you want to build you will get some good information from the board. As with all information you have to read through it all as we all have our own idea as to what works best. All depends on what you are after. :D :D

So I guess there's more to the story here.
It seemed like a fair question to me but obviously I'm missing something.
I'd be interested to know the power differences as well.
I'll beetle off and check out the sites and go from there I guess but I do sense a good deal of animosity here.
