I just got into town. Haven't been down to the water yet to see what's here. There are several tests going on this week. The one we're here for is the bowrider test. We brought a 24 Stealth.
Heading to Havasu Hot Laps for the manufacturers race. It's kind of become a Hot Boat tradition for the past couple of years. I heard Dave has been hitting the track a lot, getting in some practice for tonights race.

Is it really a non-bias test? Sounds like they only test the Brand Name boats. Is it just me? Are these tests paid for by the manufacturer?

All builders are invited and have criteria they have to meet. The ones that come are usually in the top ten as builders go,I.E DCB,Cobra,Essex,Lavey and on. It is by invitation but it surprises me how many builders don't show up to show off their products. Opportunity lost for some.

Oh, by the way, in the past, there have been boats that the test drivers refused to drive. So yes, it is unbiased from what I have seen. And no, I don't work for ***boat.

Dana was there. They ran a big power 27'. They had some fairly big water there on that day. The boat did VERY well.!.!

OG, I heard it did very well indeed. The Boss said it got windy as hell over there. Small boats weren't going to cut it this time.

Let me tell you what. The manufacturers actually PAY ***boat to test them.
