I busted one of the mounts of my Prestolite 3 mount Starter! #MDY7056
If anyone could check around there area (make some calls), for a used...(SARTER DRIVE END NOSE HOUSING) I would appreciate it BIG TIME!
I've tryed some local starter Gen. repair shops in my area...but no luck. It appears its not a very common marine starter, at least around here.
A pic of the starter can be seen in the Rex Marine Catalog #11 on page78 bottom right.

Have you found one yet? I have a guy here in town who has a huge stock of starters. I can stop on my way home tomorrow night. Do you want a complete starter? I think he gets like $45 for a rebuilt.

Thanks Dan...I'm looking only for the Drive Gear Nose Housing. Prestolite 3 mount... # on my starter is MDY7056. Thanks for looking into it.
P.S. 45 for a rebuilt is a great price...mine rebuilt cost over 80 two years ago.

The starter gear end cover arrived today, I switched them over...starts great...Thanks again!....Ray
