Clear Lake is great all the way up to Labor Day weekend. It has been getting better because they have been spraying the lake to kill the Hydrill. (algae) Last year it was nice all the way to Mid September. Lower Lake is always nice it is Upper Lake, Neice, Lucern, and Lakeport that get the funk.
If you don't want to pay for a ticket you can also tie up just outside the Amphitheatre and have your own party.

Same here...over at Willow Point (when it still existed! :cry: ). I LOVED Clear Lake. Do you know if the sulfer pools are still there? They were kind of like little naturally heated jacuzzi's but smelled like $hit. Great memories! :mix:

We Spend A Lot Of Time In That Area, Buckingham,glenhaven, And Lucerne. Mainly Skiing. I Have The All White Outboard V-bottom With 211 On The Side. I Was At Hooky Day. VV if you still have room at your group camp site, count me in. How far is the camp site from where the concert will be by water? Is it close enough to idle the boats back from the concert area to the camp site after dark? Are most people planning on doing that or paying for a seat at the concert?

But really- I got the group site at Clear Lake State Park.There is supposed to be slips right there, as the site is by the launch ramp.I've never been there, It comes highly recommended though.It sounds like our group camp at Camanche where you park on one side of a barrier and walk into the table/campfire area.They will allow us 50 rigs, some would be parked in the lot for the launch.I'll be leaving Livermore maybe 7ish? should be in the water at noon.I've heard anyware from 5 to 15 min from Konocti, at 137 it should take you about 18 seconds.So far 4 "families" are going in to sit and watch, we're planning on driving one of the motorhomes over. If you want to research tickets, we're in section A row 17...seats 5-15.Look forward to seeing you Keith, should be a blast.:D

NCC, Thanks for the heads up on the muffler enforcement. No, I don't have mufflers yet but hope to have something by that time. I'm still waiting to hear from someone that has found some that will meet the noise regulations on a 1000 hp blower motor application. Hope to see you there.

Boat 211 ,I have had it alittle over a year. The boat has five colors in the jelcoat,30hp with custom paint to match the hull,power trim on the wheel,rex in control foot pedal, E-start,15in wheels on the trailer. Main colors on the boat are orange and cream with a silver powder coated trailer. The next step is NOS.

They (as in the officials) want you here (and you're money) . I was ticketed for excessive noise in 1988, but not since. If you wait untill after the familiy skiers go in after 3:00 pm , the lake usually gets the 4 o'clock swells and you can go as fast and noisey(loud) as you want, and race as is very commin. I have a large 2 story straight across from Konocti and have seen it all for 30+ years. Any questions ask.
P.S. Howard Arneson has been running most big weekends here and runs 150+ without being bothered. The authorities don't even look at loud 100 MPH boats.
Also, you can rent a parking slip at Konocti for $10.00 for concert parking, as the free slips , they do fill up at big events.

I saw them building a huge pier last summer, but I am not sure what the docking facilities are going to be. They are planning on incorporating a resort as part of the winery. A great deal of money in being pumped into Lake county over the past few years.
I've seen my house double in value within the last two years.
