Seems like while I was using the News as background noise last night I heard them say that one of the islands moved 120 feet westward after the huge earthquake. If thats true it sure is an amazing fact.....anyone else hear this or was I missing something?

My Sis-In-Law was over last night for Dinner and she mentioned that she had heard that as well, if that is the case that is freaking amazing...

I have read several accounts that say the island of Sumatra moved 100' to the southwest.
It's not a small island, either. :jawdrop:

 And who says we won't have ocean front property in AZ someday, :p
Sorry Ziggy - the T-Plate that causes Cali problems pushes under Cali. It won't take Cali away, just makes it higher.

Just like the Northridge quake raised the San Gabriel Mntns....
I found it hard to believe and fascinating that the island would move that far, guess it explains the horrific disaster it created.

Think of the positive effects; the zoning guys will be busy and the sales of new GPS maps with the newly relocated island!!!!! :rollside: :rollside:
