Has anyone ever gone? Did you bid on some cars as well?

My dad went to it last year. You have to pay $100 or something like that to be able to bid. I think he said you have to prove you got the money. The people bidding get to be close to the stage. Everyone else gets back row to be a window shopper.

You can put up $2k as a deposit which you will get back if you don't buy anything. The $2k allows you to bid up to $20k. It's also a cheap way to get tickets to all days and the VIP passes etc.

I've gone a couple of times to watch. I'm going to go Thur & Friday this year to shoot a bunch of pictures. Looking at the list of cars up for bid on their website, it ought to be a blast :)
Here's a link for the auction car list! If anyone else will be there those days, lets get a beer :D
Saturday will be on The Speed Channel.
