It is street legal, did the DMV stuff with no problems suprisingly!
It has a Jenkins built 434 CI small block. 786 HP on the motor. Big cam and heads and 14:1. Even has a Hogan sheet metal intake. The car ran the qtr in 9.23 @ 148 MPH on the motor thru the mufflers. Will be hooking up the Nitrous and adding wheelie bars for the super chevy meet. The car should run low 8's on the bottle. Not bad for a small block....

Cannot say until I get the car dialed in... The car theoritically should run in the 7's with the 400 HP fogger but cannot say until I get some time in the car on the juice! No doubt it will run low 8's. The car is really set up nice. I can run it all day in 90 degree heat without the motor getting over 180 degrees so making the field in the street class will not be a problem.

if it goes straight and you get to bang it with the 400 should put up a pretty good number.what does it have a lenco?

Turbo 400 with a trans brake.
Right now it goes very straight with no tire shake. However, another 400 horses will change things a lot.... I will have to add wheelie bars. It already carries the wheels 3 feet on the motor. Typical launch for a big HP, big tire small block Nova. If I can leave on the juice it should put up a pretty impressive number for a small block...

Yup. Pistons with the ring lands moved. Billet crank, Carillo rods, MSD crank trigger deal with the electronics that will pull timing, etc.

Nice car.I ve got a 66 and two 67's.Let me know when your taking it to the track,I'd like to drop by and watch ya work it out.I dont see ya going in the 7's with that combo, but it will run good with what you have.66 is by far the best nova body made.
Take a look at some of the PSCA classes and see about running a few of the races. They have a descent program going.

The car has been put on the backburner for awhile do to my Boat. Last time we had it out, we tried an extra stage of nitrous and it didnt go very welllllll!Just recently I started to put her back together. the motor in the car right now made on 91 octane, 11 to 1, 730hp at over 560lb torque. At the wheels the car makes 1100hp on nitrous. I used to drive the car in high school just the way it sits in that picture. She is a true street car.

G I remember seeing your ride out at the Street Legals all the time at Pomona and every time I saw it I was in awe. I do have to say that your car is one of the best looking cars around. The attention to detail was immaculate. I saw your car and decided to strip mine (66 SS Chevelle Convertible) to try to get it as close as yours, didn't come close, but was still happy with what I had. Then I saw it in the Fuel video and knew that was the car from Pomona. Sold the Chevelle to pay for the boat, but damn do I miss that car. Some day I will have another...Someday :) :D

It's about time you started getting that thing back together buddy! Man I miss that thing being on the road as well. I can testify for him driving it to high school that way since he parked it right next to me in the parking lot.
