cam question,,help!!!!!!

i am installing a new cam in my boat, and it has been a few years since i have done this and dont remember a few things, so looking for some good help,, i need to know if the dots on the cam and crank gear are to be in line together or if they go both poing up,, help please need to have boat ready for weekend!!!!! thanks :argue:

The dots on the gears need to point at each other.The cam gear points down and the crank gear points up.
