Yo, jet496. you go to post your reply, look at the left of the reply page just beneath the "your reply". The instructions to do a lot of things is there..
or when you're posting your reply, use
your url address for the pic
that's it.
P.S. beached01, Nice ride..ESPECIALLY for 2500!!! HOwz the transom lookin? Also, you may want to ditch the reverse windshield for CC. http://free.***boat.net/ubb/biggrin.gif

Alright, I'll give it a try. I know that Havasu Hangin has a thread somewhere on how to post pictures.
To post a photo of your boat it must already be uploaded (posted) on a website somewhere. Examples wouuld be the ***boat Media Center or Webshots.com.
Prior to uploading your picture you should get it optimized at 300 to 500 pixels wide and 72 pixles per inch. If you have photo editing software it's easy. If you don't, you can find web sites that can do it for free. Just search "free photo optimizing".
In case you don't know what the optimizing process will do here's the quick & dirty: The web only displays pictures at 72 pixels per inch. Therefore, if you picture is saved at 300 pixles per inch it will take longer to load (display). I'm sure you've gone to a site and it took forever to see the pics right? Well thats one of the reasons. Secondly, resize the picture to somewhere between 300-500 pixels wide, with 300 & 400 being the best. Larger pictures mean more time to display and it always distorts the Hot Boat boards.
OK, so you optimized your picture and found a site to post it on. Now you want everyone here to see your ugly ass ride (just kidding). Go to the site where your picture is posted and click the thumbnail picture to display the larger view of your picture. Once the larger photo displays, right click it.
A dialog box should pop up and at the bottom of that dialog box it should say "properties". Click properties and a "properties" panel should pop up.
Somewhere in the middle area of that panel there will be an "address (url)". Copy the address which should look like this http://www.havasubarney.com/iB_html/uploads/post-5-37289-kwicher_blend.jpg
Now that you have the address of your picture you can come here and post it. However, the address alone will not display the picture. You need to tell the browser what it is that you are trying to do. The browser recognizes code called "tags". For a picture you will need the opening tag and the closing tag . The "img" stands for image. You will put the opening tag first, then your photo address, then your closing tag . Make sure there are no spaces between the tags and the address.
Then submitt you post and your picture should dislpay. If it doesn't, it means you typed something wrong or the site where the picture is doesn't allow you to post elsewhere.
To get an idea of how others have posted there stuff click on the "edit" button of their post and it will show you the entire code and text.
Hope I didn't forget anything and it works for you. There, now I've done my good deed for the day.
Brian

Thanks, Mr460. Don't laugh at the colors. I bought it like that and have since changed it to all white with red and blue graphics. The ride is a Eagle 19' Sport. The new motor is a 434 ci small block. Should run high 80's at 3500 ft altitude.
