How is it done? I have a 10 degree box, but on my boat the gearbox is stuffed under the deck, which makes it a bitch to swap gears. I have a hatch in the deck, and a quick change would make it easier. Anyone have a procedure? Thanks!

Do a search on gear change. You will need one of superdaves bearing pullers.

Kip,
use tapered roller bearing in the front of the case, and the special pressed in nut from Casale, it should speed things up a little. but it won't be like a sprint car!

There is a lot more to it than just putting in the tapered bearings.
You have to machine away the lip in the bearing bore.
Machine bottom cap depth to same as top one.
Those spacers will then need to be re-figured.
The press nuts are not a big deal to install. You will be happy with the change after it is done. Take out bolts and front cover falls right off.
If you need the complete rundown, call me if you like. TOM..
