trim switch question

Anybody fimilar with power trim. The trailer trim switch works in and out fine, but the trim switch will only trim in and will not trim out. (something electrical?). Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

It's a common contact problem. Unplug the wires that goes to the trimpump ,spray contact cleaner on the connectors . Plug and unplug a few times. This may remove oxidation that causes the problem. You could have a problem with the switch in the throttle lever as well.

Check the trim limit switch on the left side of the drive, broken wire or defective switch. This is almost always the cause of trim switch failure... if the "tilt" switch still works ok.
