What have you V-10 guys done as far as adding more power to your motors? (chip, intake, supercharger)? I have a 03 f-350 SD. To bad I didn't wait a year I could have had the new V-10 with more horsey's!
Thanks for any and all help!

I just baught a 03 a few days ago, it is a cc 4x4 sb v-10. Have you done a lift and bigger tires? is that why you need more power. I was thinking of a lift with 35's but really dont want to hurt my trucks pulling power, or a leveling kit and 33's but dont want it to look funny, any thoughts? Back to your question I hear the programer is a good choice but for noticeable power gains you will need to run 92 octane. You could run the program on 87 but I think all it will change is the shift points, if you find anything good let me know, good luck, How do you like the v-10?

I have an 01 F350 w/V-10, I've add the magnflow cat back exhaust, K&N air filter, and one of those goofy Tornado fuel savers. The exhaust made it sound cooler, I couldn't tell you if the K&N made a difference, but the tornado fuel saver made a 1 mpg improvement on non-towing highway trips. I'm running 285 75 16 BFG's and I saw no reason for the chip, I have all the power I currently need. It's nice to fill up with the cheapest 87 octane gas you can buy and never hiccup of ping and still pull 5-7000 lbs without worry. It'll pull more but then it's startin to actually work. I have 72,000 miles on mine, and other then oil changes it's never been in the shop, I love the V-10 and if I ever replace this truck it'll be with another one just like it!

There are a couple of routes I am going with mine. One of the best set ups is the Gisbons cat-back exhaust along with the K&N FIPK system. Throw in a chip and it will get around 40HP at the rear wheels.
I am leaning towards one of the Banks systems. My Dad has it on his rig and it is killer. Made a huge difference, especially when towing.

I am thinking about gettting the new '05 F250 Harley Edition. I have decided whether to get the Diesel or the V-10.
What are you getting for gas mileage with the V-10?
Also any recommendations on Dealers or sales people would be appreciated.
Thanks.

That 05 Harley edition Super Duty is a bad ass looking truck. I get right at 13 mpg right at or just below the speed limit, non-towing. I get about 10mpg towing my boat or my 18' box trailer. It'll usually get 10-11 around town. If were going to tow anything really big or for really long range I might go deisel, otherwise the V-10 has done everything I've asked.

I drive around 50-60 miles per day. On the weekend when I go to our home on the lake its around 200miles.
I don't pull the boat often but when I do it will be to Tahoe or Southern California. My boat is 27' and weighs about 7500 lbs including trailer.
I am thinking that the diesel will pay for itself in the long run.
Although I am cautious only because I have never owned a diesel before.

Edition. $41,000 for the V10.
PM me if you want.

I drive like a grandma and get around 13.5-14.0 mpg on the freeway. Havent towed yet with the Excursion, but it seems like it was plenty of power.

I saw a lot of nice V-10's with the Whipple supercharger on them when I visited them last time. I hear there getting some sick #'s out of those things with only 6PSI.
Whipple for V10 (http://www.whipplesuperchargers.com/product.asp?ProdID=1137)
I've had great luck with my Whipple supercharger.
