Besides the obvious 5' of hull, what are the pro's/con's of the 34.
It looks like it has even less room in the cockpit than the 29.
No sunpad is kind of a bummer too.
What's the cabin area like?
Assuming it is new/had bottom mods and handles well, what have you seen for differences in ride, handling, etc.
I'm sure there are at least a few people that have experience with both.
Please just opinions on this issue, no bashing. ;)

Never been in a F34, but I've driven the Flying Vees F - 29 a few times.. I'm pretty impressed by that boat.. Other then coming on plane a little slow it does EVERYTHING well. Like I said, never been in an F34.. but I'll vouch that you won't be dissapointed by the F-29.. Even with 575's clipping across the water at 100 - 110 with full tanks and 4 or 5 people is no problemo whatso ever, focking boat puts up some serious #'s for given horsepower.
I'm not sure what DCB claims the Top end is with the light tanks and the ethiopian driving, but it's gotta be up there.. and I'm inclined to believe it.

C'mon Dave, can't keep up with everything that goes on....
Actually my F-29 is awesome, but you never know what might come up, just looking for opinions from someone who has been in a F-34.

The F-29's are pretty bitchen but an F-34 barell rolled in front of site 6 this past summer. :(
All joking aside I really like the 34. Especially the way they do the hatches and route the pipes.

I have a filling I know what someone is thinking :) Its a good time to do it since they are done with another 29 that is a carbon copy of yours. If you were to see them 50 feet apart you couldnt tell them apart EXACT gell scheme....(unless you see the transom...only one outdrive, and its an open bow)
BUT....what I've heard is that is a DEAL! Keep in mind, that you currently own the Easiest to dive, point and shoot 29 ft tunnel boat built, the 34 is sweet, but requires more effort to drive.

Ok... the 34 that barrel rolled had nothing to do with the boat, it's characteristics etc.... thats all i'm gonna say about that ;)
29 is a lighter more nimble boat .. it will accelerate harder..like power
34 has a porpoise .... 29 does not...
34 will handle bigger water .... that 5' in length and extra weight makes a difference!
29 does pretty well in a low speed plane... THE EARLY 34's do not
I believe there have been 2 or 3 bottom upgrades since the 34's inception, the latest is said to be a very good driving 34, still some porpoise but quite stable at high and low speeds, especially for a "trailer-freindly" beamed boat ...... life has trades... If i was going in big water on a very regular basis.... Ocean/ Great lakes etc.... I'd own a 10-12' wide boat.... yes that means east Coast .... I'm not ashamed to say it ;) .....
I suggest driving one ... if you are really serious about the one in Texas, spend the $ and go drive it ;) you may love it, you may have a new appreciation for your 29.... only the drive will answer that ;) GL man

The 34 that rolled was due to One a boat pulled in front of him at over 100 mph and the driver was DUI. Any boat with those same conditions would of failed as well. Booze and speed don't mix!
Enough said.........
I own a Mach 34 and I've owned Skaters, Eliminators,Spectre's and a bunch of others to name a few. The Mach 34 is the nicest riding, and well handling big boat (over 30 ft) I've ever been in. If you want a ROCK solid ride that can handle the 3 & 4 footers with a smile, Go over 140 mph, Look no further the DCB 34 is your baby. Anyone interested go the to DCB website. Our's is the 34 with 1050 Teague's and Mercury #-6 drives. It was the 34 that was in 9 of DCB's inside cover ads.
Sure, you guys may say "is that why we've got a Mach 29 on order with Dave"? The answer is are moving to the east coast and driving to Teagues for any service work is now out of the question, as we're 3,000 miles away. So we opted for all warranty Mercruiser power (new 600's) and a new 29. Plus the Lake we're at is a little small for a 140 mph 34ft Cat.

Thanks GLWBEAR: That's just the kind of info I am looking for.
I'm not worried at all about the way the boat rides or drives. If it takes a little seat time, so what? that's what makes it fun.
If they were all easy to drive, everyone would have one. :D
I absolutely love the 29, so if I do something, it would have to be VERY cost effective. :D :D
One thing I notice in the pics of 34's is they appear to little or NO legroom for the rear passengers. is this right?
