A friend of mine is buying a 78 Eliminator Sprint, he is curious how fast the hull is capable of going. Any help would be apperciated. Seems like this hill is a light lay up. :confused:

I have a 79 sprint with a delta bottom which Im told is only good up to 85mph. Aparently that had different bottoms. Your friend can't go wrong with a sprint there a solid boat. I don't think your really limited on how fast you can go.

My friend also has a sprint,1989.It was built at Eliminator when they had a plant in wisconsin. He is running 87 mph with an A impeller turning 5700rpm.engine makes around 600 h.p.The hull is very stable thru 80 mph.Starts to Chine walk a little after that.His hull weighs 475 Lbs.Ls6 chev B.B. with Canfield aluminum heads,solid roller cam.
