I need to know how to drill the holes in false floors.
I have a dremal and a drill but want to do it in the boat.
what is the standard hole size and what tools work the best

Big Hole saw on a 1/2" drill motor (slow and straight and hang on). Put some resin on the raw edges to seal the wood after sawing. If you don't want to buy the big hole saw rental place rent them I think (just make sure it's sharp).
Size depends on type of inspection plate or whatever you're going to install over it.
You could also use a sabre saw but difficult to get a true round hole without followup sanding grinding etc. (pain in ass)

drill hole for access to bolts in the floor. rex explained it pretty well.
