I usually look at the manufactures web site :D They have a selection to look at and give you an idea of what you want.

I agree. Look at the different manufacturer web sites. They usually have layouts for all of their models. That's how I went shopping for our new trailer.

Thats my problem. I don't know any manufacturers names. I am looking for a regular trailer, not a toy hauler or 5th wheel. Something to tow to Havasu & leave there for the Summer. 40' with pop out & good A/C.
What brand names should I look for?

Why not check for an RV mart near you and see what they have there?

A buddy of mine has a new 22ft'r for sale. $12,000.00. It's brand new.
Says he's selling it because his kids are to young, there not ready for camping.
The only thing about it that I didn't like is that he went with bunk beds that are size double. That way he could have the bigger bath.
He says the beds are a little small.

Bill,
go to an RV show when you can so you can walk into the models. The LA show is huge just like the boat show.

The LA show just ended. But like i said see if there is an RV showplace near you where there a bunch of Mfgr's in one place. You can walk through most of the models.

For manufacturers, try THOR (sorry) and Fleetwood. I have a Colorado, made by THOR, and I've had a Terry, made by Fleetwood; both good quality. I've got a 30' w/2 slides. Awesome!
Go on Cowboy RV's site in Havasu; they sell a couple brands including Colorado
Good luck.

I spent 15,000.00 (OTD) on a 26' bunkhouse 5th wheel this past summer from Mike Thompson RV Center, it also included a 16K Reese slider hitch and electrical work. It's entry level but seems to do the job very well, the kids dig on the 14' slide the covers the livin' room and dinette area.
I'm also looking for a place on the CA side to have on site this spring/summer, does anyone have good leads or should I start a new thread?

Good luck.

I stayed there on Labor Day '04, I think I had space 60 near the entrance booth and the first set of restrooms? Will look into it again!
Anything beats the storage rates in the 626. I currently have my 5'er in Diamond Bar, with that kind of money I would rather blow my change at the local strip on Valley blvd. WTF- did I say local strip on Valley blvd.

Look at Holiday Rambler (http://www.holidayrambler.com/). They're made by the Monaco coach co. If your interested in a pull trailer, look at the Presidential. They dont have a 40' model but the 34' is available with quad slides.
One of the nicest travel trailers on the market. Very high quality and luxury you dont see in travel trailers.

Search on Fleetwood, Thor, Forrest River, Dutchman, that will get you started and lead you from there. The Web sites will have models and floor plans for the various large travel trailers you are looking for. Most make a 36ft twin slide travel trailer or similar. Also try Aljo,Keystone, Damon, Mobile Suites are some other names that come to mind. There are a couple of Woodland Parks for sale....

I have been looking at these ones lately.Im selling my motorhome that i have at work so when i work late i can stay in it,so i need to replace it with something else thats not so exspensive.these are very nice.its hard to find a travel trailer that is 37 to 40 ft without it being a fifth wheel.these are all travel trailer ?park model style. Skyline has other models to chose from so just check out there website.skyline specializes in large travel trailers. There is a place in Las Vegas called Jonnie Wakers RV that has the best deals on these trailer when i called around. http://www.skylinerv.com/seefloorplan.php?ID=331&model_num=3930&brand=nomad&region=343.......http://www.skylinerv.com/seefloorplan.php?ID=260&model_num=3712&brand=nomad&region=343.......http://www.skylinerv.com/seefloorplan.php?ID=103&model_num=3986&brand=nomad&region=343......http://www.skylinerv.com/seefloorplan.php?ID=104&model_num=4085&brand=nomad&region=343

Make sure if you tow that thing much that the tounge weight is doable. Some of those long ones get up into 1500+ lbs and even w/EQ hitch can be a b****.
