Were those in the fairgrounds? Doesn't look like the marsing track. Its wicked to see how fast jetsprints turn. I've never seen anything else that can handle like they do.

It was the Fairgrounds.
They are definitely amazing vehicles and put on a great show all in less than 2 feet of water!!
Crazy boats with roll cages flying out of the water onto shore and then back into the water and then driving away.

I don't think there are any v-drives that could turn like that. Maybe an F1 outboard.

I am pretty sure Kboats are required to be Flatties. Flatty jets dont turn so well.

You bet there were jet circle boat races. Just ask Jack at MPD about em, or for that matter George over at Clay Smith. NJBA used to have circles as part of the sanctioning body I believe.
Somewhere on the web... Now probably lost again until the next time RJB.com pops back up, Jack has posted some old stories and stuff that mentioned/related to circle boat racing. I know at one time, Jack had mentioned something about converting a bunch of old 8mm films of the jet boat races to video or DVD. I can't remember if they were his films, or someone he knew, but there is definitely tape (albeit probably not of the best quality) of these boats running.

Hey BF, how do you like your Kirkey seats and which model are those? My plastic ones suck especially with a lifeline on. Everybody tells me to get the race tech's but I'm having a hard time dropping that kind of coin on a pair of seats. I see the Kirkey's are pretty reasonable but their web site shows probably 20-30 different kinds, I'm trying to figure out which ones to get and see if you like them. By the way, I like your set up, that's what my boat should look like, its a 15' Sprint, it just wants to be a marathon boat instead-Aluminum Squirt

go to your local dealer and find what you like and what will fit with the jacket on. The one thing I would suggest is to get the shoulder supports not just the rib support seats.

I like the seats alot. They are the pro drag models. Mine are the FAT boy ones at 17 1/2 inch seat width. I have the optional head and rib supports but have not used them. If i recall right I got this set for like 600.00 for the pair full boat retail im am sure. Look on Arizona race mart I belive they have a good price.

That's what I liked was that there was a 171/2 in fat boy model. I went to their site and they actually have a seat called the big boy that's a full 20 inches. I need to find a local place to see if the 20 is way too big. Thx for the feedback, you too Canuck1-Aluminum Squirt
