I have had several bikes and quads. I have never bought new. It goes against my thrifty nature :) But I was thining of getting an '04 WR450 new. I was looking around on the Trader site and found a place in Canada selling 2004 new ones for $5,699 plus $200 to ship Forward Air. This seems like a steel since the used ones are just about $500-800 less. Anybody ever buy a bike from the Canatards? Should I just buy a slightly used local bike.
Thanks

Probly end up with some kind of tax thing if you want a title for it. Might make up the differance.

The ONLY problem with Canadian bikes is that it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to register one here in California with a green sticker. Emmissions laws for Canandian bikes are more linient than here.

A friend of mine was telling, they had one from Canada and the DMV gave him a green sticker :D a ranger stopped him while riding and said the Green Stick is illegal and ripped it off his bike.

The 2005's are green sticker OK, per Yamaha. Its a big selling point for the 05 model year. I plan to street legal mine here in AZ. Its very easy. Not sure about the Canatard thing.

I know a few guys who have purchased bikes from Canada, seems to work out fine. As long as you don't want to register it in California, which can be near impossible, even for a red sticker.

No taxes on export shit, no emmission shit on bikes either. I would suggest you call the dealers up here first before you accept an advertised price. Alot of Japanese bikes are the same price....$10000 Cdn Or US
