We have an opinionated group here....and Im having fits picking a color for my new hot rod.....Its almost ready for paint....and I am ruling out red....I was convinced blue was my choice...then silver ...then black with Kameleon flames coming out the side vents going down the side....This is more a pro street version of a Cobra so It need not devalue it if its not an original color....nothing else is original....so It wouldnt matter....What do you think ?

Try Peuter...it was not a silver and not a grey..more like Gun metal..was very sweet on the car I viewed. Than maybe a deep black double stripe down the middle.

Hey Brian.............I almost bought a cobra last month. Have been looking for the "right" one for years and have come across a few here and there. The last one I really thought I would get, but an a$$-hole from Texas out bid me for it, and now owns it. But the only color that car deserves is the Indigo Blue with white stripes. I've looked at red with white stripes, silver with Black...............but nothing does that car justice like the Indigo Blue and white.

Coolchange, I'm just looking for the right one. Can not afford a real one....those are fetching 80 -120k. I am looking for a replica that is done right. If you could, please check with him, would love to see what he has available. The only downside..........I'll have to hitch rides all summer on the Lake, LOL! BUt again, if I find the right one......I'm all over it.

I agree Kameleon is overdone ...and I almost always use it just in graphics...where I think it lends a really nice touch on a lot of jobs...

I'd try to keep the paint job from distracting from the magnificent lines of the car.
I think the car looks fabulous in red. I also like it in blue with the white stripe. Of course, I'm not the color guy so if it were mine, I'd paint it gun metal gray.
If you want help with colors, you need to find some gay men. Try the v-drives section.
