No... Remotes have always been specific with Clarion headunits... The new ones only work with the new models..

I did notice a boat at my dealer yesterday that had the new remote on the transom and the old style on the helm. They might have an adapter or something. I did not know which HU it had, i just noticed the 2 different remotes.

i have a remote for an xmd2 i never used that i thought would work with my xmd3.
