View Full Version : Reverse spam: Looking for a Wedge

Does anyone have an aluminum 4* wedge they're willing to part with? I had one(it came with my Roger's) and can't for the life of me remember what I did with it! I've looked everywhere and asked everyone.
I bought a American Turbine wedge from CP, but when I got it, it was plastic! It's a little smaller in diameter than the flanges it mounts between and has a nasty mold flash on the ID. I'm sending it back.
Let me know if you've got one and what you'd take for it.
Thanks.

Heat it is probely nylon not plastic I have a 3 * that is nylon and it workes fine and you do not need gaskets for them like you do with a Alum one.

Nylon, plastic, whatever. It will look like sh$t on my all white set-up and I don't think it will hold paint.
Aluminum would be much nicer.

I see how it is now Steve!!!! :hammerhea
I already sent the nylon one back to CP.
Where were Mr. & Mrs. Budlight when I needed them? :umm: Since I already made one up, go ahead and let Cas have it. Thanks anyway.
Is the adjustable a two piece job?

Yes it's a two piece. Has numbers and letters on it. when I got it we couldn't figure it out so I had CP performance fax the directions to me, but I lost them!! Cas, PM me with your Mailing address. Budlight

You have to index them evenly opposite each other to acheive the different settings. I wish I would of had one of those set-ups for testing. I guess I'll have to wait for the good weather to see how close I hit it.

John,
won't be any big deal if you want to use it for some testing so you can get dialed in better.
When do you think you're going to get in the water?

Here I was thinking you finally came to grips that you needed a Mopar motor.
You almost made my day.

I know I need a Mopar motor. I just wish I had the ducats to get it done!
Cas, I might take you up on that, depending how the ride is when I run this one. I'm waiting on a header swap(I'm trading for some big-tube blower headers), an ignition change over, then a few cosmetic touch-ups and I'm ready for some good weather!
It can't get here soon enough!!!!
Here's what I made up:

Meatseeker, you just make sure you have that thing running by summer so I can give you a little taste of prop wash. :)

If you can grow the orbs to stomp that piece  , and it stays together for more than a couple of seconds :2purples: , I'll be glad to taste some of your prop wash.
Besides, I heard you were selling that thing off, something about being too skeerd of it...

No, not for sale yet. I just started that rumor so you jet guts could dream. Last year was my first full year w/o any major problems, I hope to have the same luck this year.
Any spring trips to Don Pedro planned? Give the wife and kids my love.

Glad to hear that you're keeping it! I haven't even got a ride in it since Don took me out in it the first season you had it(before it blew).
I don't know when I'll get out to the lake. It always seems like your pops has something else going on when I can get the time...
Everyone says "hi".
